Self Service Business Intelligence and the Cloud

I’m convinced that dramatic improvements in reporting capabilities for businesses that choose to redeploy their core systems in the cloud is guaranteed.

Particularly because of a new focus on what is being coined self service business intelligence.

It requires an integration of people, processes and data and the results are turning out to be staggeringly profound in terms of producing a curious organization for companies that have made the shift.

A curious organization is one that has instantaneous visibility to key performance indicators and dashboards that point to the source of inefficiency and opportunity and possess the know how to leverage it.

This is an area where an implementation of NetSuite which has a comprehensive self service reporting engine built into the heart of the product has helped our customers rethink their entire approach to leveraging business intelligence.

Please see my comments this week in an interview with Joe McKendrick of DBTA on the topic of self-service business intelligence. I’ve attached the link below.
